1) How Did You Come Up With Your Name? Zach - Bombs Blast is something Lars Frederiksen says in the song "Dead American"
Years ago I used to get asked "Hey are you in a band?" all the time...But I wasn't so I would just say no and walk away in shame...UNTILL...the night before Warped Tour in Denver some years back... Busloads of girls were staying in the same hotel as me and a couple friends...the first thing I do is tell my friends is... "IF THESE GIRLS ASK...WE'RE IN A BAND" I just kind of made it up on the spot..I said "If they ask we're Bombs Blast from Van Nuys California...We're playing at Warped Tomorrow on one of the smaller stages." I had never even been to Van Nuys California... But we're 700 miles away from home, they'll never know...we wanted to impress these girls...and what better way to say we were in a band AND playing Warped none the less...they were all there for some big VolleyBall tournament so I knew they wouldn't be at Warped and even if they were...I'm from Nebraska they'll never seen me again!
2) How Long Have You Been Together As A Band? End of July 07. So about 2 months
3) What's The Funniest Thing That's Happened
At One of Your Shows? We were playing a show in McCook with this other band who talked trash and made fun of us. Brian spit water out into the crowd "cause it would look cool" and it just happened to go all over their bassists face. It was GREAT.
Or this other time with Brian's Aunt and this other guy... but we try not to talk about that anymore.
4) What is One Thing you Want Our Readers
To Know About You? Josh - We are really good looking.
Zach - We're straight up Punk Rock 'n Roll! And some ska.
Brian - We love what we do. It's nice!
5) Where Do You See Yourself in 10 years? Josh - Married with kids stuck at a job I hate! Like all the other poor saps. Or touring and recording with Bombs Blast.
Zach - HOPEFULLY this band will be enough to support me someday. Playing shows, recording songs and having a good time. (without the lame 9 to 5 job)
Brian - Married. It's nice!
6) Where Did You Grow Up? Josh - Stratton
Zach - All over. I moved around alot.

7) What Person or Artist Would You Like To Meet? Josh - JOE STRUMMER. Well, before he died. I don't want to see him now. Or Johnny Cash. Anyone dead really...
Zach - I've met so many people already. But I would have to say
Vic Reggiero of the Slackers.
Chris - Henry Rollins.
Brian - Underoath. They're nice!
8) What's The Biggest Reward To You Individually
From Being In This Group?
Josh - Just getting to play. Getting positive feedback from people.
Watching the kids go CRAZY!
Zach - It's so fun to get the chance to play and meet new people and the music is so fun to make. It's a good form of therapy. It's a release for stress.
Chris - I like meeting all the people that come to the shows and all the experiences you have.
Brian - Getting to play. Cause I love music. It's nice!
9) What's the Biggest Challenge For You Guys As A Band? Brian - The girls.
Josh - Scheduling shows and trying to make enough money to travel, record and make merch. But the BIGGEST challenge is getting Brian to come to practice. Or getting him to shut up between songs. It's really hard to juggle our time between band stuff, work, friends and girlfriends. Everyone wants a chunk of our time.
Zach - I'm my own worst critic...so everytime I write or record something...theres a good chance I'll hate it and want to do it better...I'm always striving for better lyrics, better music, better stage presence...This is what drives me and holds me back at the same time...It's a catch 22

10) Who Or What Are Your Biggest Influences?
Josh - Boys Night Out, the Clash, Johnny Cash, Rancid, Saves the Day, Alkaline Trio, Say Anything, Zao. And being good looking. Life.
Zach - There are too many bands that really influence me but at the top of the list would definately be Rancid. They've done it all. They're amazing. They play everything.
Brian - Jesus Christ our lord and savior.
