These guys definitely have a stage presence all of their own,
& their sound is unique, it ranges from hardcore metal to southern rock.
These guys are very inclusive of the crowds participation in the show,
& they definitely want their crowd to go away from the show being able
to say they had a good time. They draw crowds of Hellanova fans
who hold their lighters up high while head bangin' to the music.
This Band is not your typical band by far,
they most certainly have a uniqueness all of their own.
What they would like people to know about their Band is that they are
"Just out there to have a good time, a lot of bands take themselves way to seriously,We just wanna drink whiskey,turn our amps up,& play good ole' fashioned rock & roll without the drama bullshit."
Hellanova has been together as a band since 2006, but
Tom,Jeremy,& Ryan have played together off & on for several years
prior to the band.
When asked what their biggest Challenge was as a band
the "jokester" side came out & they replied
"keeping our hearing", But on a more serious note,
when asked what their biggest reward was from being in this Band, the reply was "Just being able to hang out with my brothers and play rock and roll."
We were told one of the Bands funnier moments was when
they had a guy at a show that had been in the front row all night,
he was headbangin and kickin ass (he was hammered),
& halfway through our set, he literally was in mid headbang
and he looked up made direct eye contact with Ryan,
gave him a thumbs up and passed out cold.
Security had to carry him out of the front row.
The Band informed us that the name Hellanova came about because
they really wanted to use "nova" as their name,
But since that is taken they thought 'Hella-nova',
was just like a "bad ass nova"
& it made them think of an old muscle car.
As a Band Hellanova's biggest influences are
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Nashville Pussy,
Clutch, David Allan Coe, Down.
When we asked them if they were ever given the opportunity to meet
any artist or band, They said they would like to meet Black Sabbath
or Led Zeppelin.
