Paisy Jenny has been together since the spring of 2002.
Paisty Jenny Band Members:
Gregg Lee/ Rhythm Guitar,Lead vocals
Troy Stevens/Bass,Background vocals
Jonny Ray/Lead Guitar,Background vocals
Sean Brandt/ Drums,Background vocals

When we asked them how they came up with their name,
they said
"Jenny was a fair skinned stripper,
we all nailed in high school"
When asked where they grew up
we were told:
Gregg Lee is from York, NE.
Troy Stevens is from Fort Collins,CO.
Jonny Ray is from Huntington Beach,CA.
& Sean Brandt is from Fargo,ND.

We had the opportunity to take in a Paisty Jenny show
at Maxwell's Live in the Kearney,Nebraska   Ramada Inn
On 10/20/2006
We walked through the door of Maxwell's
to the sound of guitar riffs & drum beats electrifying the air.
We then passed by the loyal & dedicated
"Paisty fans" on the way to our
stage side table, which gave us an awesome
view of the action & talent
that is...
Paisty Jenny.

We were truly amazed by their talent as a band on the whole,
but the individual talent we witnessed was equally impressive.
From drummer Sean Brandt who never missed a beat, to Troy Stevens whose skill on a bass guitar is as close to perfection as we've ever seen, to Jonny Ray who can make the guitar sing in perfect compliment to the group,& to Gregg Lee who ties it all together with rhythm guitar, endless energy, bigger than life stage presence, & a vocal range that left us awestruck.

We don't know of a stage that can contain these guys,
they are very focused on getting the crowd involved with their show.
Troy will stroll the dance floor, sit at tables,
& mingle with fans while keeping the tempo on point.
& Gregg Wow that's all we can say is WOW!
He sits on laps, sips crowd members drinks, dances & sings on tables
(we even witnessed his performance on a pool table)
Whatever it takes to ensure the crowd not only has a great time,
but feel as though they were a part of the action.

Not only can Paisty Jenny take a cover song,
twist it & tweak it to make it their own,
their original songs make you want to buy their CD,
because you can't get enough & want to hear more.
The song that ended their show was one of their originals called 'Belief'
this song touched our hearts & left us in awe,
to see these tough rockers sing a song so deep & meaningful
that they themselves created.

After the show we were invited to watch the video for their
Original song "Primadonna" that featured:
Melissa Harrington
aka-MelissaMidwest
(www.melissamidwest.com)
We were also treated to an "unplugged" performance by Gregg & Jonny,
that left us with even more respect for them not only as artists, but people.
They welcomed us into their inner circle of family & friends
& made us feel very comfortable.
We walked away from this experience knowing
the next time we get the chance to catch a Paisty Jenny show
we will be there not as "TreyBlue", But as Paisty Jenny fans!!

Here are Paisty Jenny's answers to some of our interview questions:

What's The Funniest Thing That's Happened At One of Your Shows?

Once our former drummer got up
and ran all the way around the bar naked.
Not sure if that was funny or scary.

One time a drunk chick was falling over
and grabbed my (Gregg's) mic stand
and accidentally bashed it into my lip.
It started to bleed like crazy
and I stopped it with a towel.
At the end of the night I walk up to another "hot" chick
to introduce myself and the first line that came out of my mouth was "I swear it's not a herpie".

What is One Thing you Want Our Readers To Know About You?

We're NOT a cover band!
Sure we do some covers...it depends on the venue,
plus right now that helps to pay the bills.
We can do up to 2 hours of original material,
and we've done it many times opening
for various national acts.
Even in our bar-cover show
about 1/3 of it is original.

Also, our next cd, DETOURS-Red
(an enhance CD with 2 videos)
will be released over Thanksgiving weekend.
It features
Melissa Harrington aka MelissaMidwest.com
in the feature role of the Primadonna video.

Where Do You See Yourself in 10 years?

Writing songs and performing,
hopefully on a tour bus
that someone else drives
and someone else pays for the fuel.

What Person or Artist Would You Like To Meet?

I'm no longer nor have I(Gregg)ever been star-stuck too much.No doubt that there are some amazingly talented people out there but they're not much different than most other musicians. They just got the break.
That's just the way it works...
Who will the industry pick to be the golden-boy this week?

What's The Biggest Reward To You From Being In This Group?

The biggest reward is seeing a bunch of fans
singing along with your music.
It's such a rush to see people enjoying your craft,
something that you've really poured your heart and soul into.

What's the Biggest Challenge For You Guys As A Band?

Money.
It's a challenge when the $$ you were counting on this week
has to go into a new transmission on the bus.
It's a challenge when the agent and the sound company get the big bucks
for the 3 nights you just worked and you only see $25 each
because you're throwing every dime into the last payment on your next CD.
Oh yeah... and then there's that chick that wants the cd or t-shirt for free
cuz she's gonna show ya her boobies....
Not that we don't appreciate the gesture but sheesh,
there's two of those on every other person on earth baby.
You gotta love it and keep your eye on the goal.
