How Did You Come Up With Your Band Name?
We had our first show coming up, but we still didn't have a name yet.
So after practice he sat a brainstormed for hours, but nothing really fit,
until our bass player was like " how about Section Eight"
....it was perfect...because it fits so well.
How Long Have You Been Together As A Band?
For about 2 years...in fact our 2 yr anniversary show will be in January
What's The Funniest Thing That's Happened At One of Your Shows?
There has been so many, its hard to just point one out.....
well there was Comstock Rock 2006,
it was over 100 degrees and we had been up all night...
so we were all dehydrated when we played.
We played a great show, but at the end of the second and final set...
we could barely stand!
What is One Thing you Want Our Readers To Know About Your Band?
We are extremely nice guys, and get along with everyone.
Also, not all of our music is heavy, we have some very melodic tunes as well.
We love hearing from people, and love putting on a good show!
Where Do Each Of You See Yourself in 10 years?
In ten years we all want to still be together touring the world.
But still coming back to Lincoln to play some shows.
You cant forget where you came from.
Where Did You Grow Up?
Stan is from Kearney,
Joe Clapper, Justin, and Josh, are all from here in Lincoln,
and Joe Waterman and Nick are from Lexington.
What Person or Artist Would You Like To Meet?
Honestly.....there are so many we could list them forever..hahaha.
Anyone that lets their music do the talking for them...that paved the way for us.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, A Perfect Circle, Mos Def, The Roots, 311,
Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, ... the list just goes on.
What's The Biggest Reward To You From Being In This Group?
The biggest reward, is when we work so hard to make a great show,
then we get on stage, start performing, and you look into the crowd......
people are TRULY having a great time.
That's the best reward any band can have if you ask me.
What's the Biggest Challenge For You As A Band?
Managing our time.
There just isn't enough hours in the day,
when you work fulltime, go to school,
and try to maintain a successful band.
But this will all change soon ;)
Who Or What Are Your Biggest Influences?
Kirk Coon, Mos Def, Common, The Roots, Disturbed,
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Saliva, Breaking Benjamin, System of A Down,
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani....
just to name a few. But mostly Kirk Coon.
